About "Day 261":

In some years, calendar quirks cause one day that is normally scheduled as a work day to be the 261st work day on a 260-day calendar. Our Collective Bargaining Agreement - and the School District's budget - call for a negotiation to determine which day will be declared "Day 261." That day is a no work/no pay day for 12-month employees. Day 261 does not affect less-than-12-month classified employees.

Based on agreements with OHSD,

The 261st "work" day for the 2008/2009 school year was December 24, 2008.
The 261st "work" day for the 2009/2010 School Year will be July 6th, 2010.
Although both of those school years have a "Day 261," Calendar Year 2009 does not have a day which will be "Day 261."
